The Wahl Company is an engineering and precision machining facility located in Fort Worth, Texas. The business is focused on manufacturing machines, tools, fixtures, discrete parts and assemblies. Primary industries serviced include aerospace & defense, oil & gas, and engineering / product development.
The Wahl Company was founded by Lincoln D. Wahl in 1973. A family run business, Melinda Wahl leads the operations today, and brings 30 years of leadership and business operations experience from the systems integration industry. She leads the current team of resources who together reflect deep experience in metal working and industrial planning and operations. Russ Axsom, our Director of Engineering and Production Operations, rounds out the leadership team bringing over 35 years of mechanical engineering and tool and die experience from the automotive and aerospace industries. Our production machining area includes three team members who have been with The Wahl Company for more than 15 years each. Our corporate culture values a strong work ethic, and is committed to high quality results. Our customers are dependent on the knowledge and application of machining principles and practices that have been practiced and improved over time.
We are a 'make to order' shop, and each project is managed to the requirements of the unique customer requests. The business is located in a 5000 square foot manufacturing facility. The equipment includes four lathes, five mills, three hydraulic presses, mig, tig, arc welding machines, two tool grinders, a radius bender, a sand blaster, a vibrator, a cold saw, various drill presses, tools, and packaging equipment. We also have a secondary 5000 square foot facility for engineering services, product assembly and storage.
All projects include steps to adhere to our documented quality standards and processes, along with any special customer quality requests. Our customers require precision parts, with a low tolerance for variances. Inspection equipment to calibrate the measurements of finished parts are used to facilitate internal quality control as well formal reviews by government inspectors prior to delivery and acceptance of finished products as needed.
In addition to our own capabilities, we have established relationships with a network of local metalworking providers, and we can facilitate a project plan that includes these services. Examples of processes that may be coordinated include plating, anodizing, heat treating, and many others. We can also manage any mil-spec paperwork if required.
